Automated Rip-Off

Health & Medicine

I called the 1-888-621-4043 and was answered by automated system. This system prompted me to enter my billing info first, (which should have been a red flag). Then it went on to ask for my shipping info. The system then started offering me products that I did not want and I said "NO". Even as I said no, The system was saying "OK" and we will process that for you. So I hung up.

My initial call was for a "free trial" if you agreed to the $7.95 shipping and handling fee. I was in turned charged $77.90 for something I said "NO" to. I want to report this to someone. Where do I go? Im certain I'm not the only person this has happened to and they should not be allowed to operate like this. What about the people who dont realize what's happening and have been charged fraudlently. I read somewhere that they do this in hopes that you are "driving and distracted". Give me a break, all persons should speak to someone live anytime you are giving pertinent bank and credit card information. Where are the lawyers at? Cant we as consumers do something about this?
