Star Plus Program
A Medicaid Managed Program, Texas Health and Human Services Limited Choices of Healthcare Providers, Beyond Rude Call Takers

Every since I got on SSI here in Texas, I now find out that I have to be enrolled in Medicaid.
And have all my medical records compiled to send to some death panel / medical review panel? Like h*ll.
I have no choice.
I have to choose between of two hmos —whatever the h*ll that is.
I don't care if i was born in texas and lived here most of my adult life i do not trust anything to do with the federal government healthcare.
And i think whoever was hired to run this program was chosen in a nepotism or crony agreement. Makes me mistrust them more.
The only times i have been to a physician is when i had a car wreck in the emergency room and my lawyer had those bills paid and a few check ups in the military, i am not much for doctors.
I am really not much for costing the taxpayers any money on my behalf.
They will tell me which doctor i will see.
What if i don't want to see any.
This program is not available texaswide either. Just in the metro areas of travis, nueces, harris, and bexar counties. I think dallas and tarrant counties get it in 2011.
What about my right to be left alone and go to the emergency room when i an sick. Only did that once with the swine flu outbreak.
The rip off is i do not have a choice!
And when you call in to try to get an explanation, i think you are calling a call center in tijuana or juarez, mexico. Nobody speaks english and are rude as h*ll.
At least call takers in india understand english and have great accents too.
