CVS Pharmacy
CVS Pharmacy Resveratrol fake?

Health & Medicine

CVS markets a resveratrol supplement under the name "CVS Pharmacy Red Wine Extract Resveratrol" as "Antioxidant Support" and "with resveratrol, grapeseed & citrus bioflavinoids" 60 capsules. These cost substantially less than other marketers of resveratrol.

Unlike most or all other sellers of resveratrol it does not recite the actual resveratrol content. Walgreens for example sells their resveratrol as having 60 mg of resveratrol per capsule.

The only ingredients listed on the CVS bottle is that it contains 60mg of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) in 200 mg. Of "Red Wine Complex"

CVS refuses to divulge the actual resveratrol content, only citing that the ingredients are listed in their order of content. Of the eight or ingredients listed, "reseveratrol" is listed last. Meaning that each capsule marketed as "Red Wine Extract Resveratrol" might contain only a scintilla of resveratrol.
