Marair falsifying billing and accounting records, double and triple booking patients causing 2 hour waits

I worked for Dr Fiorentino and became increasingly aware of egregious and fraudulent billing and accounting problems. The problems are so severe that the billing person she hired quit after one day after seeing the extent of the problems. These bad practices include: billing insurance companies for appointments that did not take place; billing patients and insurance for hour to hour and a half long appointments when the sessions was only 20-30 minutes; failing to refund patients when they have been overbilled and caught the error themselves.

Dr. Fiorentino also regularly double and triple books patients leading to waits up to 2 hours. Many patients leave and reschedule.in these cases, the doctor bills the insurance companies twice.in the last two weeks, two patients have written and come in reagrding these specific issues.

Further, the doctor has recently cleaned house... She fired her entire staff after they became aware of her arrest for domestic assault (public information found online at Okaloosa County bookings) and loss of privileges at a local hospital. The new staff she hired only lasted from one day to two weeks after they discovered her shoddy business practices and handling of her employees.

This complaint is made to bring attention to the bad billing and accounting practices of this doctor and hopefully spur an investigation into the matter. Patients are out 100s of dollars, as are the insurance companies. This doctor is taking advantage of her patients who are already in a delicate frame of mind.
