Does Not Follow Ethical Standards of Practice

What a great and important blog! I concur with these other writers. I will report the facts that I experienced with this doctor, because I find it important that families and professionals do appropriate research before engaging with her:

Dr. Katalin Eckstein testified under oath in a court of law against someone she never treated.

Dr. Katalin Eckstein "diagnosed" someone she never treated under oath in a court of law.

Dr. Katalin Eckstein gave detailed testimony of alleged "actions, behaviors and descriptions" of someone, none of which she never witnessed firsthand, which she was spoon fed by custody attorneys while this person had no attorney, under oath in a court of law.

Dr. Katalin Eckstein testified under oath in a court of law telephonically, without appearance, and without proper notice so that innocent persons could appear with the appropriate doctors to refute virtually everything Dr. Eckstein was saying.

Dr. Katalin Eckstein reported to Officers of the Court, in written reports filed under oath in a court of law, that person (s) were abandoning their child (ren) by canceling visitations, when in fact it was Dr. Eckstein or her partner Diane Van Ness that cancelled the visits due to monies owed to them.

Dr. Katalin Eckstein reported to Officers of the Court, in written letter filed under oath in a court of law, that person (s) were not paying her and have abandoned their child (ren)'s treatment, when in fact the person (s) had been paying her religiously every month. The following day, Dr. Eckstein deposited in a lump sum all the checks she claimed to have never received.

Dr. Katalin Eckstein reported to Officers of the Court, in written and/or oral form, detailed stories of alleged "child abuse" that never occurred. She never contacted the child (ren)'s prior treating doctor who wished to inform her that these allegations are false, and who wished to give specific firsthand knowledge of why these false allegations were being filed.

Dr. Katalin Eckstein, after having no contact with anyone with firsthand knowledge for several years, concluded to Officers of the Court, in written report filed under oath in a court of law, that parent should continue to never have supervised visits with child (ren) lifted for the duration of childhood.

Dr. Katalin Eckstein refused any attempts at family therapy, parenting coordination, or parent involvement/information on progress of the child (ren).in fact, she reported to Officers of the Court that she refuses all contact with parent.

Dr. Katalin Eckstein was verbally aggressive, verbally violent and humiliating, focusing on blame rather than the therapeutic process of the family unit.

Dr. Katalin Eckstein does not follow ethical guidelines or best practices standards of her industry.

I also agree with you all that Dr. Eckstein misinterpreted, lacked insight, and lacked judgment in my opinion.

The gut-wrenching and unethical pain and destruction that Dr. Eckstein and Diane Van Ness caused innocent families was so reprehensible that it took years to overcome on every level: physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, legally, and familially.

This is not somebody I would place my family in the hands of in my opinion. Please make a careful decision of your own.
