Lazy diagnosis and remedy

I got this really bad infection on my thumb and it wouldn't go away it only got worse. I went to Turtle Island walk-in clinic because it was close to where I was living. The doctor just saw it and blamed it on nail biting.
Now, I 'm a long long time nail biter and nothing has happened like that to my fingers. I tried to explain that it could be bacteria from touching filthy computer equipment at my job. He didn't want to hear any of it. He just gave a few packets of disinfectant swabs and sent me on my way.
I went to another docor and was pprescribed medicated cream and told me to keep the infection dry. He also told me that it was definitly not from nail biting
