I work at a very "high end" sports club and have been in fitness industry for 6 yrs. I went into Nutrimart for my favorite basic protein and was immediately pitched and questioned about why I wanted that certain protein, which lead to the hard close on several different & much overpriced products. (You can find these same products online or any other nutritional store for $10-$20 less) The woman who was working was in very, very good shape (woman's body building appeal) which meant there was no disagreeing with her. After 15minutes of Ms. Know it all" intimidation. I was told they didn't have the product I was looking for and that these items are better. I bought a $48 bottle of fat burners which I did not want or need.
2 minutes after the purchase I walked back in and thanked her but I changed my mind. (I did not open or even remove it from bag) and I was told all purchases were final. And the credit card transaction could not be voided. I asked for the owner or manager and was put on the phone with man who said "we have never returned $1 to anyone and won't start with you". I could not believe this. What happened to customer service? After several calls I was finally told I could exchange it. Which meant I had to find a protein that I did not want, and would not be able to receive the $ difference. Unfortunately for them they did not know I am a nutritionist at a very high end sports club in La Jolla UTC and am asked for supplement recommendations all day. I send all my clients to Great Earth Vitamins in UTC.
