Sent supposed free trial, took money from credit card, kept taking, all in one day nearly $600 On-line

My 76 year old friend ordered a free trial of colon cleanse from the internet from "Home Health Stor", "Power Cleanse 100% natural". It was her first time to order from the internet. A box arrived, not from the US as she expected, but from China. Before she even opened it she received an email saying that as she had not returned it in ten days, she would be charged $79-odd. She replied immediately that she would return the goods, and did not want to do business with them, and that she would sue them. When she opened the pack, it was wrapped in old newspapers and had hardly anything in it, not worth $5 she said. Next morning she rang her bank, not knowing the credit card reporting station was open 24 hrs. They had already taken money out. Every time she checked they had taken more, when she rang me tonight they had taken nearly $600 Australian. She ventured to order becauseI order on the net, so it must be all right, she thought!

When I did a search on the internet, I found a number of different sites all offering the same deal, one with supposed terms and conditions, which I am sure she did not see. It gives them the 'right' to take money whenever they want! Luckily her credit card limit is only $1000, so they can't take more than that. She went into a shopping centre deciding she would use up the rest of her credit limit herself and treat herself to something. The woman in the shop who heard the story was very kind, and a customer bought her a lovely scarf, which made her cry again, with tears of appreciation. The customer said those were the tears she wanted to see.
