Lost and Found Area Items Stored At Club For Just A Few Days—Watchout!

I left my solid yellow Speedo swimgloves in the Women's handicapped shower stall. On my way home, I realized this and called up there. I pulled into a parking lot so I could give the LA Fitness rep, Dustin, my barcode/membership number. He said I could call him back in a few minutes to verify he had found them. I did. He did find them and said he would keep them for me until I got back from a 5-day trip. On Thursday evening, June 18th, I went to my club to workout. I went to the desk before my swim, someone named Conrad said that he had seen my gloves 2 days ago, but they were no where to be found. He said he would leave a note for the manager to call me.

The next day I had not received a call. I talked to Cain. Cain said that all the items of the lost and found were gone as they had been donated to Goodwill, although one woman did claim a pair of yellow and blue swim gloves. My gloves were solid yellow with black trim. Which means that no one had attached a note to my gloves as they told me that they would do, otherwise my gloves wouldn't have been "misplaced" or "donated."

Cain said he would talk to the employees to find out who found the gloves and where they were placed, and then get back to me.

I called LA Fitness corporate to report the incident. She confirmed that Cain would call me back after he talked with employees and that if he could not find the gloves, he would replace them.

So please do not leave your items at LA Fitness lost and found hoping that they will place a note with your membership number on it, because the note may or may not be placed with your belongings and your belongings might get "lost" or "donated."
