Bills Medicaid and Never Pays the Workers

Sunshine Caregivers is a home health company. They are to hire individuals to care for disabled children and adults, usually on a daily basis. They workers care for their daily needs such as bathing, preparing meals and feeding their clients, transfering them from their wheelchairs etc. They may have a couple of hours a day, everyday. This service is paid from Medicaid dollars, tax dollars, at $15.00 an hour to the company. Fern Orshan has been billing for the services and not paying the workers for months and months! She writes checks that have no funds, puts stop payments, or just closes the doors in people faces when they ask for their pay. Her deposits go in from the State and she removes all the monies before anyone can change their checks. They have been closed out from many other state run companies, yet she still continues to have access to the Florida Medicaid State plan? Police officers are called by workers on a daily basis to her office. Workers will be crying in the office and she willl tell them to leave and use profanity if needed. She has gone as far as to bill for clients who are not even in her company anymore. This has become an uncontrollable situation! She should be in jail. Using her disabled and needy people to pay for her life style. This needs to stop!
