Paramount Acceptance
Moved out of state and they refuse to cancel my contract!

On January 13th I signed up at Peak Fitness and wanted a personal trainer program. At which time I made an appointment with a trainer on January 25th, I signed a year contract paying the first two months up front which was $120 then every month for ten months they would bill me $60.

Now I did not know at the time I would be moving, In June I found out I was moving to GA, in the contract it states that if you move to an area that Peak fittness is not availbel with in a 50 miles raduis I would be able to cancel the contract for a $100 fee. So at that time I contacted Paramount Acceptance which who the sontracts is with and faxed them a copy of our lease to our new home, they told me they would bill me one final payment of $100 that was back in August of this year.

Since August till this month November they have still be taking $60 a month out I called my credit card company and disputed the charges Paramount acceptance is tell ing them it is owed since my name is not on the lease for our new home. The lease is in my husbands name but we are married and I moved here with him.

This is rediculious that I can not get out of a contract I can no longer use. They are getting paid for services I am not using. I have called Paramount Acceptance a bunch of times they are so rude to me and tell me there is nothing they can do that I owe them this money. They have recieved $240 so far of un used services from me. I understand that I owed this when I could use it but I no longer live any where near a peak fittness they didn't offer me even another gym that they deal with to use the service I am paying for.
