M.D. Doctor operated and refused to see me when complication set in

I went in the hospital last year for back surgery for a blown disk and ended up catching "MRSA" that deadly staff germ which caused me to go in the operating room three times for them to flush it out of my wound. Then I was in the hospital for weeks. They sent me home with a pick line that feeds the antibiotic in my blood stream to make sure it's killed. One of the Doctors told me I almost died in the operating room. Then to add insult to injury I found I was in so much pain I couldn't move. Then my husbands company filed BK and he lost his job and we lost our Health Insurance. So there I lay crippled and in agony with my husband taking care of all my needs 24/7. Now the Doctors office is calling and telling my husband to bring me in for a follow up visit and he told them he couldn't because every time he tried to lift me my back would go into spasms and I'd be screaming with pain. To make a long story short, because we now have no health insurance and I needed pain med's the Doctor sent me a registered letter telling me he could no longer treat me nor could any other Doctor at that practice. I lay on my back for almost five months in pain and could move. I was loosing muscle and knew I had to stand up, I fought and finally managed to stand and walk. If I had not "Requested My Medical Records" I would have never known that he said he refused to treat me because I would not keep my appointments and in his opinion I was just seeking Pain Medication. Also in there it said I drank "every day!" Both are right down lies and I think that was put in my medical records to discredit me. My back has been leaking fluid every day and has been for over a year. I went in to the Emergency room at UCI Medical Center and told them I had no Insurance and my husband is out of work all I get is my Social Security Check. They had a Dr. Look at my wound and he said there was no Doctors there that could help me and I needed to go back to the Doctor who did my surgery. So this left me with my back seeping fluid and then they sent me a bill for over a "Thousand Dollars!" I spoke to several Attorneys and bottom line there isn't much that can be done and most Attorneys don't want to fight the system. They are telling me it's because it's been over a year. Well yes it has because Dr. Dennis refused to see me. And Hoag Hospital will do nothing to help. I don't know what to do now, I am in pain every day and this has made my life miserable. The name of the Hospital is "Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, Ca." My Doctor's name is Steven C. Dennis M.D.in Newport Beach Ca. He works at Newport Orthopedic Institute.
