Heartless Pharmacy Staff Cares More About Money Than Human Life: Customer Careless

30 years of loyal patronage meant zero to the pharmacy staff. Suffering from high blood pressure of 240 over 140 made even less of an impression. I am a single mother struggling to make ends meet, no insurance, cash and carry is my only option. I explained that I could not afford the 30 day supply of Diovan that cost just under 100 dollars with tax. "what are my options?" I asked Buy 6 pills they said -only costs 22.00 I only had 20.00 the drugist rolled his eyes then glanced at the 10 insurance cash cows lined up behind me. Well how much for 1 I asked? 11.99 I had no other alternative but to take my single pill and stop anoying the little creep and let him get back to work. I was horribly upset and returned home. After an eight day run without medication to sick to leave my apartment, my son called my sister and told her what was happening. She rushed to Wallgreens and purchased 4 pills for me to tide me over until my check arrived in the mail. Returning to Wallgreens to pay for the balance of my out standing total for the perscription I was informed that I needed the full amount for the perscription the 60 dollars spent was a complete waste of money not only that but I was shorted 5 pills as the 11.99 was the price for 2 pills not one. Sorry bout that was the response no offer to reimburse me the 5 pill shortage only willing to take my 24 dollars for 4 more pills until I could make other arrangements on Monday since it was Friday after 5. Speaking to the pharmacy Mgr and then the store Mgr was a waste of better than an hour of my sisters time. At least they didn't tell her to go F herself. I do know one thing I will NEVER shop at another Wallgreens Drug store in this life time. I understand making money is what businesses are doing but maybe Wallgreens needs to spend a few Hundred Thousand Dollars less on TV ads lying about what a caring bunch they employ behind the counter and pass those savings on to customers that Rely and Depend on medication or at least be honest about caring only for customers that have insurance they can suck the dollars dry from and tell the remainder of the single parent uninsured population we can afford health insurance if we didn't squander our money on stupid stuff like groceries!
