This company is horrible. I am an injured flight attendant and if I don't figure out how to fight these people I'm going to get screwed

I was hurt during a flight having to do an emergency landing in Florida before being flown back to Houston 3 days later. Then the real nightmare began. The accident happened over a year ago and it took GB 6 months to approve physical therapy (just to give you an idea of how unreasonable they are). I did finally have one surgery almost 2 months ago but still I live in pain every day.

I have already had to declare bankruptcy and if I'm not released to duty by Feb 09 I will be terminated according to my union contract. I'm sure that is going to happen because my doctor is wanting to run more tests on my spinal injury and has already recommended surgery but GB has yet to approve the test. I did hire a work comp attorney but I'm firing them since they're no better.

So far I paid them $700 out of my small weekly checks but they have done "nothing", I mean "nothing" for me. Like I'm in a position for that right now. I'm a single mom just trying to get through this life and now this. You know its easy to read about these big financial problems and living with pain everyday but people often forget all the misery that comes before that. I don't want to be stuck like this for the rest of my life.

I want to work and be normal again. Why does the state of Texas allow this??? How can I find a lawyer that I can really trust??? Or at least one that will return my phone call before within a week. The attorney I just fired waited 2 weeks to respond to any of my phone calls then when I through a fit it went from 2 weeks to a week. Thats no better than dealing with GB. Besides the fact that they haven't made my situation better at all.

GB treats them the same as they did me. Its almost like a dare for them to be so arrogant but I am still a human being. Even the case manager that works for GB told me that she was frustrated with them and told me I better hire counsel. If anyone reads this please, please get in touch with me. My yahoo is.
