At The Beach
Turned my checking account into a trampoline

Health & Medicine

I decided that I needed to start working out and tanning. I found the perfect location across from my job. I signed the contract and was happy with the terms of the contract. The Explained the fact that if you fell on financial hardship you could freeze your payments for up to 3 months. I was laid off from my job and need to freeze my payments. I went in filled out the proper paperwork and assumed all was well.
The first month no payment was taken out. The next month I was notified by my bank that my account was negative.

After further investigation I realized they had taken the money out, causing other payments to bounce and causing me to be charged overdraft fees.

I contacted the store first and they said they would call corporate and call me back. They never did. So I called corporate and all I ever got was a voicemail, so I left messages. No one ever returned my calls. So I started calling the store again. They informed me that they would not charge me for the next month but could do nothing about the overdraft fees. They argued about whether I had even filled out the form to freeze my account. I reminded them that there policy states you must fill this form out to have the freeze. Therefore, if they froze it for one month then I obviously filled this form out and that they should pull the form and see that it was marked for two months. She said that it is at corporate and they didn't have access.

So $700 later I am still paying for the contract and I am so disgusted with them I don't even go to the facility.
