Charged my account before trial date was up

This made a overdraft on my account. It was taken out before the trial date. When I called they said that I had to return the unused portion within 20 days of recieving the merchandise. This is not explained in the suppose to be free trial period. What's a free trial anyway? You still have to pay for it. Why do they send you a 30 day suppply and you have to return it within 20 days if you want to cance. What a rip off! Buyer beware.
