On January 24 I responded to a trial offer of green tea from Central Coast Nutraceuticals. I clicked that I was interested then a new page popped up informing me of the cost of sending the sample. I declined because I didn't want to pay the approximately $5 shipping and handling.
Another page popped up saying I could have the sample for $2.95. Because my efforts to cancel the order entirely had failed, I figured $2.95 wasn't much to lose if I didn't like the product.
On February 6 or 7 I called to cancel any further shipments. Thought I was finished. Wrong.
On March 5 my debit card report indicated I was billed for $38.95 on February 21. I called 888.692.8352 and explained my dilemma and was informed that I was wrong. I had cancelled the order well within the prescribed 20 days after ordering, but somehow I was still responsible for purchases I had cancelled.
The company was discourteous, non-sympathetic and actually hung up on me.
Beware of Central Coast Nutraceuticals!!!
