Senior citizen ripped off, long island

This dr. Ripped off and almost royally scammed my elderly father. Beware entering his office for treatment. I'll try to make this short but its really a mess!!!

My father visited this sad, greedy little dr. With an overblown ego seeking a simple enhancement to an already existent partial denture and a few extractions.

Sonkin tried to sell him the sun, moon and stars by giving a fancy sales pitch on how he was going to make him a great new smile, replace all his old work, etc.

My dad stood up for himself and set the record straight about what he wanted. He showed up for his next appointment the guy pulls out an entirely new set of teeth.

My dad walks out of the office in a huff after telling him he didn't do what he wanted, sonkin's flunkies call back and reassure him he was mistaken so he goes back.

Only to have the same thing happen!!! I guess maybe they thought he was senile and could be pushed around!

The real kicker is that we find out later that he pre-billed the insurance co for an amount that is over the standard price for that work. Which he wasn't supposed to do.

He also wasn't supposed to charge the $100 deductable co-pay until after my dad had his teeth. The foolio that does his books wanted my dad to pay $200 per visit which they were also not supposed to do. Obviously they were setting up their scam early on.

Naughty! Naughty! Very, very naughty!

When i tried to get this crook to refund the money. Guess what he wouldn't. He spoke to me as though i was one of the common, long island house-wife bimbos that worked for him.

He was so sure of himself it was unbeleiveable! He actually thought that what he had done was ethical. He had second thoughts though bc he refunded our insurance co. The next day. Hmmmm

Co's anti-fraud unit and the new york state dept. Of education.

He truly is a person that beleives he is above the law due to his medical degree.

If you are a senior citizen or worse a youngin' and you suspect that you might have been taken. Follow up immediately.
