Fake magazine sales

In August a group of kids hit the neighborhoods in my town ripping off the residents by taking magazine subscriptions and money. I purposely did not give them a check because I didn't want them to have a connection to my bank. I gave them $40 cash for a 2 year magazine subscription. I forgot about the order until I was cleaning out the drawer with receipts at Christmas time. Merry Christmas to me! I've contacted to local authorities and will encourage my neighbors to do the same.
