California Smile Vista Collections scam

I received a letter on 11/27/07 stating that I owe $470 from this dentist. I have not visited this dentist in years because he caused me excessive pain when I visited him for a cleaning.

The $470 he says I owe is from a visit almost 2 1/2 years ago. This is the first letter I have ever received stating that I owe this mnoney. The letter states that I can only call for information between the hours of 8am and 2pm on Wednesdays. When I called at that time, I received a busy signal.

I feel that waiting 28 months to notify a former patient of a debt is out of line and not taking my calls to discuss it is indicative of a scam.

I would advise all potential dental patients to be very careful about visiting this dentist and giving him your personal information. He is likely to use it against you and create a bogus debt.
