Ripoff ripoff waste of time

Having heard the commercials on the radio, repeatedly, as a practicing optometrist, for close to 30 years, I wanted more information on this non-surgical, non-optical method for improving myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.

I called the toll-free number and asked for the free video and was asked if I would like the package of audio tapes for just a little over $300.00, which could be paid for in just "three easy payments". I wanted only the free video tape and begrudgingly, it was sent out.

I viewed the tape and all it contained was testimonials from people who had tried it along with more advertising by Marriet Hartley, who swears by the Method. There was not one bit of scientific evidence offered for the Method's effectivness, nor was there any mention of what the excercises were.

A week later, I received a number of brochures from them with additional opportunities to purchase the audio tapes. One booklet, which was "Questions and Answers" asked why optometrists were not aware of this method. And the answer was that hundreds were using it in their practices already!

I called and identified myself as a practicing optometrist and was curious about these methods and how could I learn more. I was told that it was just a bunch of excercies based on some theories from 50 years ago, called visual training excercises.
I asked for a list of the doctors participating in the program and was told that they did not want their names released. Something about privacy!!! I would call it - free advertising!

In short - It is a total waste of time as well as a waste of money. Stick with the eyeglasses and contact lenses!
