Nextclickmedia.com False Advertising, bait and switch

Health & Medicine

I signed up for what I thougth was a free 10 day trial (according the the advertising on the web site), and I received a 30 day supply with no indication what-so-ever of the fact that I was being sent a 30 day supply, and only 10 of them were for the trial. I would have never signed up for this had I known this up front. After the cancellation I was charged $99.95 for the product, with no mention that I would be charged when I cancelled my membership. I did cancel my membership within the allowed time as well.

I even was very confused when I received the shipment, I thought to myself..."if its only a 10 day trial, whey did they send me a 30 day supply?" In some respects this is false advertising, and a form of bait and switch.

I acutally tried to cancel my membership durning the trial period, and I had sent an email to the support people asking if I could keep what I had (not knowing I would be charged for the product) and they told me that it would be no problem to keep... But no mention of charges. Trust me I would have returned it if I either A. Was told I would be charged, or B. I would have read in plain terms on the first page of the website that I was being sent a 30 day supply, and that I would be charged $99.95 for 20 days of those.

If it's a 10 day supply, then only send 10 days... And if the consumer wants more then they will ask for it. Don't just send this out to consumers, and trick them into your product, charge them for non-return and make them extremely unhappy.

I am not happy with the fact that I was charged for something that I did not expect to be charged for, especially when through email they did not mention at all that I would be charged for the non return of the product. Honestly, I would have returned them had I understood the return policy a little better, and was told by your support personnel that there would be further charges.

Advertising on the site is horrible, a lot of false information, not clear instructions, just overall a very badly run website. I would recommend people to STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFER!

When I email the support people (support@stopsmoking180.com), they don't respond for days. On one occasion it took a week. And there phone support cannot do anything for you (they told me so on the phone when I called) they at least were nice enough to give me a email address of the management company soojin@nextclick.com. I have not heard back from them, I assume that I won't. So I guess they can just take your money and run without any regard for the consumer.

Smokers beware! Don't use the product, get help from your doctor or seek local professional help, don't make the mistake i made.
