Spinal Health Institute ripoff Took advantage of my health and wallet

I would like to take this time to share with potential patients or current patients of Dr. Scott Harcourt Russo DC.

Dr. Russo treated me from February through August with his "Disc Pump" therapy technique. His diagnostic testing was questionable from the begining as he reviewed an outside sourced MRI and then proceeded to inform me that "I was a candidate for Disc Pump therapy". Gee what a shock.

Dr. Russo likes/d to use a technique known as "leg raise testing" in which a patient lays in a prone position upon a treatment/exam table and the Dr. Would perform a series of palpations while having the patient lift their legs individually. I have inquired about this type of diagnostic neurological testing with actual medical doctors (MD's) as well as other chiropractors (DC's) and they have ALL stated that a "leg raise test" is bogus and proves nothing.

To make a long story short, Dr. Russo claimed that in most cases (I realize that "most" means not everybody) most patients only require 2 weeks of consecutive treatments and checkups. Obviously Dr. Russo viewed my condition as a "cash cow" for his greedy lifestyle that he leads living in Folsom and driving expensive cars such as his Lexus that I'm sure I helped pay for.

Dr. Russo treated me specifically on a weekend off hours basis in the summer of 2003 and requested that the next time I came in (which was Monday) that I bring "CASH". Well as I kept to my appointment on Monday and brought in a check (which we had been paying to him since February 03), Dr Russo upon entering the exam/treatment room inquired as to if I had brought the "CASH" for the previous off hours visit and I informed him that I had brought a check as usual. This is when Dr. Scott Harcourt Russo turned into Dr. Scumbag leech. "That's not what I said! I said CASH! You can go ahead and go to the bank and cash that check and THEN I will treat you."

I was very comforting to know that my overall health was not a concern to Mr. Russo and that our money was.

In closing all that I would like to happen is to see/ensure that nobody else has to endure the type of demeaning and humiliating unprofessional conduct of the con artist that Scott Russo is.

Karma is a b*ch Dr. Russo (much like yourself) and someday it will find you when you need help from somebody else.
