Ripoff scam for student insurance

I have had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with Mega Life & Insurance Co. My child was injured at school during a sporting event. When the school year started I was forced to buy a policy with this worthless company so my child could be on the Track Team.

I was not really worried since I knew that Mega would be the secondary and my private insurance would be the primary payor. Unfortunately 3 weeks into the track season while jumping a hurdle my child severely broke her ankle. She has had to endure MRI's and a needle test where they injuected saline into her ankle along with the other pains of having a broken bone.

I was assured by Everyone at the school that I would pay out nothing because Mega would pay whatever United did not. My private insurance United Healthcare has been wonderful and has paid rather promptly.

Mega on the otherhand has paid very little and I am facing a bill that I feel I should not have to pay. I have 2 Insurance policies forgods sake!

Nothing on their correspondance to me has a address or a phone number on it so I can contact them. The school has been of no help to me either they just go on assuring me that it will be ok. This is a nice little scam that the public school system has worked out with this insurance company!
