Colorado Heart And Body Imaging
Ripoff, Dr. Ehrlich won't resolve this problem

I feel I must speak out against a business called Colorado Heart and Body Imaging. I went for a body scan several weeks ago, and the fallout has been terrible!

For example, part of the scan involved inserting a device in a very sensitive area of the body. The technician did a bad job, first hitting another sensitive area inside causing sharp pain. Then the device slipped out when she told me to relax (it was also under pressure) and she blamed me and my anatomy for that! That was outrageousI did nothing wrong!

Then she tried to reinsert the device several times but couldn't get the right angle, and continued to poke sensitive tissue, causing more pain each time. When I tell people about it, they cringe, so I won't to be more graphic here.

I had very significant pain that day and the next so I left several messages, which they didn't return. I persisted, and was later contacted by their medical director, Dr. James Ehrlich. He proceeded to give me a sales pitch about how great the facility, staff, and tests were! Considering my experience I thought that was ridiculous! He also commented that the devices do slip out, that it's not that unusual. Why all the blame then?

Two days later, I felt more pains and could see another problem by using a mirror. I got an exam from another doctor.indeed, there was tissue injury and blood where it shouldn't be.

Since that time, I've had various exchanges with Dr. Ehrlich. He has also blamed my anatomy many times, though he did offer some apologies. I asked that they pay for the treatment costs and he said he would consider the expenses my insurance didn't cover. I gave him the total as time went by. He didn't respond for two weeks, even though it's only about $300.00 so far!

I've had weeks of pain and discomfort. I just recently learned that I will have this problem forever! He now refuses to offer a resolution, giving me arguments, posturing, and blaming my attitude! It's interesting that it always my fault, isn't it?

Would you want to be treated this way? Based on my pain, hassle, and being scapegoated by these people, I could never recommend Colorado Heart and Body Imaging. They have two offices: Cherry Creek and Diamond Hill, west of downtown Denver.
