Lied about refund requirements, refused refund ripoff

Health & Medicine

The company offers a deal where you buy 3 bottles of pills (100 pills per bottle) for $98.95 and they don't charge shipping. So I bought 3 thinking I could return them for a full refund (within 30 days as stated on the website). The company recommends you take between 1 and 8 pills a day. They also state that you may need to be taking the pills for 15 days before it starts working. So I took the max number of pills to ensure they would work and for 15 days.

Not only did they not work, they gave me a bad headache. So I had finished one bottle and had just started a second.

So 16 days later I contact the company to get a refund. They are a little slow in responding, but they do contact me still within the 30 days. I even tell them by email that I had opened more than one bottle and they still tell me how to send it back for the refund.

About a week later I get the pills back in the mail with a piece of paper that states the refund policy does not allow opening more than one bottle. Opening more than one bottle is interpretted as consumer satisfaction. It says this NOWHERE on the website. They didn't even send me something that says this with the pills.

The "refund policy" written on this paper they sent me with the returned pills cannot be found anywhere on the website. It is not the same refund policy that is on the website, or at least at the time of my purchase and refund request, and I can prove this. When the pills were returned to me I even went to the website to double check this and it was nowhere to be found.

I saved the pages of the website on that day, so I have a record iof this fact, in case they would give me trouble about the refund (which they obviously did).
I tried three times to contact the company, but they would not respond to me. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau. They replied by lying and saying not only that it does say this on their website, but that I returned the pills after 30 days.

This is incredibly ridiculous since I have the pills they returned back to me and they postmark on that package is STILL within 30 days of my purchase. I can totally prove that they deceived me because I saved the web pages, invoice, and pills, but it will cost more to take them to small claims court than just letting it drop.

But I want to warn people! Not only is this company totally dishonest, I don't know what was in those pills. I'm ok now, but they gave me such horrible headaches!
