Coast Dental Center
A little suspicious, get a second opinion!

Health & Medicine

I went to Coast Dental Center and was told that I needed extensive dental treatment. They said that I needed to have two fillings replaced, that I had periodental disease which required flushing my gums with antibiotics, fluoride treatment, and visits to the dentist every 3 months.

I was also told that I would need to get a special toothpaste from them. Considering that I have always had good reports from the dentist, I was a little suspicious.

I went back to my new dentist and was told that my gums were healthy. I don't have fillings that need replacing. I guess that I should have been a little suspicious when they told me that all new patients had to have X-rays on a seperate visit so that they could decide on what level of cleaning was needed.

My second clue should have been all the things about payment plans posted in the office. Thank God that my senses finally kicked in and that I could afford a second opinion.
