Matthew Vincent Salon
Overcharges for services that are not even provided by him, but mostly by some flunky assistant Ripoff!

Imagine my surprise when I walked into Matthew Vincente expecting a nice, classy salon and instead was greeted by an old house very poorly converted to a salon!

The salon is cut up into separate rooms, there is no flow and I will not even start on the decor.

I was, for some reason expecting a french, or Italian guy... Because the salon name is pronounced vin-cent-a with an accent over the e. Over to me walks a short, rather chubby mexican man! What is with the name if this owner is mexican? Who is he trying to fool? I found out his real name is matt gonzalas and vincent without the accent over the e is his middle name...

Anyway, he just starts cuttin my hair without asking what I want. I talked to him about hilights i wanted and he said that would not work so he then told his assistant the formula he wanted and had HER put the foils in my hair!

What happened to the customer is always right? I know that stylists are trained to determine what haircut would flatter your face, but I wanted strawberry highlights and he gave me very light blonde! I looked like every other client that walked out of there! And with a 180.00 dollar bill and his assistant finishing me up, I was furious!

I was so upset that I asked a friend who's hair is cool who she went to and made an appointment. Not only did this stylist listen to me and do exactly what I wanted, but It looked fabulous! I received a ton of compliments! I also paid a fraction of the price I paid at Matthew's!

I was also told a story by one of my friends in the Maumee police Dept. That a few years ago, when he knew some of his stylists were quitiing, he called the police and had them escorted from his salon. Of course, the police in Mumee think he is crazy, since I guess these girls were. Well... GIRLS and posed no threat whatsoever to him or his salon.

So if you are a stylist looking for a job, don't consider him he is obviously a bad boss! I was also told that when other girls gave him their notice that they were leaving, he promptly placed all their stuff outside for them to retreive!

I have also heard of a few women who have or are considering pressing charges of sexual harrasement! 2 of which were former employees!
Beware!!!
