Cancelled orde

I placed two orders for curtain rods which are on sales online and both of them were cancelled today (a week and two days after my orders) because they said they do not have the products in stock. I went to the stores and they still have them on the shelve. I feel like this is a scam that they show as they have a lot of nice stuffs on sales, but they actually don't.
