Lack of Service/Default Judgment

We have been fighting with GE Money Bank about a debt that we did not incur. They turned it over to Sharinn & Lipshie. We never received anything from Sharinn and Lipshie. We never received a summons or notification of a default judgment. We never received notification of the lawsuit, so how could we have appeared? The only way we found out about it was when our bank accounts were frozen and they took double the amount out. We were forced to pay them the money so that our accounts would be released. Our bank had to give us their information. How do they get away with this? We were held hostage. There was no talking to them. They had total control. They did not care that we did not incur the debt. I hope that enough people complain about their strong arm methods.
