Vodafone
Lied about delivery date for iPhone 4S Internet

Electronics and household app.

On the 15th October I decided to order from Vodafone the new iPhone 4S. Although, I was not an existing Vodafone customer, I chose to order from Vodafone as oppose to Apple as Vodafone told me that my item will
arrive in 2-4 working days as oppose to Apple's 1-2 weeks delivery time. Furthermore, to clarify this on Saturday morning I walked into my local Vodafone branch and was informed by a sales assistant in the store that if I ordered the phone this Saturday I should receive the phone by Wednesday 19th October. I eagerly anticipated the arrival of my iPhone 4S, as it was supposed to be a present for my son for his terrific GCSE results.

The following Saturday, Saturday 22nd, 6 working days had passed so I decided to send a email to Vodafone asking them for a rough arrival date and why the delay occurred. A few days later, I received a reply from one of Vodafone's inexperienced sales staff informing me that my order was not on the system. At this point, I decided to call up Vodafone and deal with the matter directly, I had to wait 10 minutes on the line (the line is a 0870 number so the company make profit while trying to assist me) before being connected to a Vodafone staff. The inexperienced staff told me that my
order was not on the system before realising that because I ordered on pay as you go my order wouldn't appear, she told me to wait 3 weeks for my item. At this point I was disappointed and appalled at Vodafone poor service and the
fact that they had lied to me to beat Apple's delivery time to receive more orders.

Therefore on Monday 24th, I wrote a complaint email to Vodafone informing them of my problem and received a reply saying please be patient the delivery will take 3 weeks. It is now Thursday 27th of October, 11 working days
have passed and still no sign of my item. I believe Vodafone are being unethical as they are boosting the order by lying about their delivery dates to get more orders compared with Apple. I do not know where I stand legally, but I
think what Vodafone are doing is also illegal as well as unethical. This morning I read the Vodafone's forums and hundreds of customers are having the same problem as me. Please assist me with this matter. I have retained all
emails I have received from Vodafone.
