Airtouch Cellular ripoff! Plan was changed without consent of customer Mesa Arizona

In 03/99, I opened an Airtouch Cellular account.in 08/99, I had to move out of town. Due to this, I was paying roaming charges on my phone.

I stopped by an Airtouch Cellular store at the Metro Center mall in Phoenix, AZ to have them give me a local number. When I spoke to the sales associate, all he said was to pick up the phone in the corner. I picked up the phone and was automatically connected to a lady. She assigned me a local number and then proceded to walk me through re-programming my phone for the new number. That was it.

My next phone bill was a HUGE shock! It was over $300!! And so was the one after that. I refused to use my phone.

It has now been over 4 years since that incident and they are just now putting a charge off on my credit! Upon further inspection of this situation, it was found that my plan had been changed when I asked for a local number. It was about the same amount per month, but I was only getting 8 minutes of free calls!

My attourney called Verizon in an attempt to get this issue resolved the "easy" way. They refused to speak with him or myself as long as I was in his office. They then hung up on him in a rage of anger. They have been no help in resolving this issue, nor do they care. Apparently they do not want to be paid.

I know that there have been many lawsuits against Verizon for various things. I think its about time that someone exposes them for the slimy, scummy, blood sucking thiefs and criminals that they are.
