Microsoft 7 - Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax See Model

I bought a brand new wireless Brother computer for home and bought a brand new Asus laptop with Microsoft 7 OS. I spent about four hours on the phone several time getting them to work together. Brother said, it couldn't be our fault, must be the computer when it's obviously a problem w / the printer software being incompatble with the new system. The woman yesterday worked with me for an hour but she was rude and offensive. She moved quickly, too fast for me to follow and when I said I should click where it says profile, she said why would you do that when I said click printer profile? I felt humiliated, like a bad child! No sense of humor, no social skills. I'd initially been thrilled she spoke English, but by the end of the conversation I was wishing for one of the Indian fellows who at least would help me and would feel bad if he couldn't. So now I have a wonderful computer but it can't print. I would never buy Brother printers again.
