I purchased a "new" HDTV receiver from LetsGoDigital back in mid August. I was guaranteed that the item would be new in the box and operational. When I received the item, the box had been opened several times, the item had fingerprints and scratches on it, the operational manual was photocopied and stapled, no warranty cards or information and the remote control was thrown in the box and it already had batteries in it. I took the unit out and after I hooked it up, the sound failed after a few hours of operation.

After numerous messages to the company with no calls back over a week period, I finally got spoke to a customer service person who told me that they would return the item for a "full" refund and gave me a return authorization number. I was charged $437.83 on my credit card for the initial purchase and later noticed on my bill that I only received a refund of $334.16.

I contacted the company by email and after 3 days with no response, I attempted to contact them by phone. I finally spoke to a very rude "customer service" person told me that they received the unit and it was new and operational. I had no choice but to pay a 15% restocking fee and a 5% profit fee. I explained to her that I was told back a month ago that under the circumstances, I would receive a full refund. She stated rudely that this is there policy. I ask to speak to her supervisor and she stated there was no one else I could speak to. Beware of this Internet company passing off used damaged equipment as new.
