TDK Electronics / Best Buy ripoff

Jan 12 i bought a tdk cdrw for $99.00 with a $40.00 mail in rebate from best buy. 1-11-03 i sent the rebate form, receipt and code from the box in to tdk. March 03, i get a letter saying i did'nt sent a upc code, my rebate was denied. I sent a copy of the upc code as i had copied it from the original that i sent to tdk.

Two weeks letter, same thing. Denied. I wrote a letter to tdk. They told me to resubmit the rebate form. I did not because this is once again the old run around. I could have bought the same cdrw from tiger direct for $44.00 with no rebate.in my opinion best buy and tdk have once again stolen $40.00 from me. The bad thing is they are doing it legally.

Since 3-03, i have not had any dealings with best buy and will not buy a tdk unless it have a no mail in rebate. Tdk is a good product. I don't see why they had to team up with in my opinion crooks like best buy. The people at best buy are not professionals and probably are trainees that will tell you anything to get a sale.
