Camea Giant
Up selling... Then back orde

Electronics and household app.

Well, I wish I read "rip-off" before placing an order to this "Camera Giant". The report I just read was EXACTLY what has happened to me. I placed an order for a camera... Priced well under all other stores only to recieve an email telling me to call as the order cannot be placed as submitted.

I called and the first thing to happen was the salesmen said "oh, you need a battery as the one Nikon supplies only lasts 10 minutes". Sure, I believe that.

Nikon sells defective goods. Hum, lets see, I've been a professional photographer for going on 40 years, have a "load $" of Nikon equipment, film and digital. Nikon does not sell inferior goods.

Then came the hard sell on memorys, cases, back to the battery. After refusing all and simply asked "is this US warranty" "or gray market". The answer was quick, "oh yes sir, US warranty". OK, placed the order. WITHOUT any very very over priced accessories.

Two days later (three weeks ago) along comes another email, and I quote:

Order #

Dear Michael XXXXXXXXXXXX

This notification is sent to you from our shipping department.

We regret to inform you that by the time your order reached the shipping process, our inventory on the product (s) you ordered was negative, therefore your order will be placed on a temporary backorder until we receive the product (s) back again in stock which will be in about 3-4 weeks.

Please note that your credit card will not be charged, as long as, your order has not shipped.

You can modify and/or cancel this order at any time before it is shipped without incurring any charges or fees to your account.

Hense adding a LOT of detail on how to cancel the order.

This place should be brought to account on fraudulant advertising. Has anyone really bought "just the advertised product from them". I doubt it.
