Stopping of goods

Good-day,

I'm in the West Indies and lately bought a cargo of cell phones from China.US can be used like a transhipment place for the products and also the telephones were ceased while moving people traditions to its location region, Trinidad and resent to China. The reason behind preventing the cargo directed at me by FEDEX was the telephones were fake.

These to are China cell phones and even though I acknowledge they've exactly the same design range/title whilst the Sonyericsson they don't bring exactly the same brand or is a backup of this telephone.

Was it authorized for that US traditions to prevent the cargo despite the fact that the brand differs? Could you please you recommend on which I will do within this scenario as all of the delivery costs need to be compensated by me and that I am wishing the seller gets back the telephones in good shape for him to resend another cargo.

NOTE: this may occur to me again when I am an importer of cell phones.
