Swivel Sweeper Will not give me credit for s/h charges for a returned item that I had cancelled

I cancelled a telephone order for two swivel sweepers after seeing it advertised on TV. They kept me on hold for so long that when I finally spoke to the rep, I said please cancel this order. Well, they sent it anyway. When I called to ask to return it, they said I could use the retrun label on the box but I would not get credit for the s/h charges that were ridiculous! They also would not refund any shipping charges for me to return the item. What a rip off. I called and they are not very pleasant people and refuse to budge.
Do not order any items from these commercials, they are a BIG SCAM
