White Van Speakers Scam
Tried to sell me a cheap surround sound system

While in Texas for a buisness trip, I was fueling up my rental car in preperation to return it to the airport the next morning. I was approached by two white guys in their early twenties. They were driving an SUV (Ford Explorer), and said they just got this surround system for really cheap and they didn't need it so they wanted to know if i would be interested in buying it. I informed them I was flying out the next day and I had no way to bring such items with me on the plane so I would have to pass. This happened back on the 6th of March. I figured the whole situation was fishy, but didn't think much of it untill I found an ad on craigslist notifying people about the scam of people selling cheap speakers and stereos for much more than they are worth. After reading through the info I decided to post up my experience. This happened near the Holiday Inn Express Med Centre on S Main in Houston.
