HiTech Audio - Barry & Dustin
Dogg Digital Audio Ripoff RIPOFF!

Electronics and household app.

To start at the beginning, I was walking out of a shopping center when a guy in a cool looking white Ford Expedition yelled at me and wondered if I wanted a good deal. I've always been skeptical about people selling stuff off the streets or from their cars and have never bought anything by that method... Until now, a decision that I greatly regret.

I walked over, not planning to get anything at all, but curious as to what this "great deal" was. I noticed there was one other guy in the passenger seat. The lead guy introduced himself as Barry and the guy in the passenger seat introduced himself as Dustin. So Barry instantly started the sales pitch telling me how he's got this awesome home theater system. He's got a cateloge with the pictures and specs of different systems and tells me he installs this stuff for a living. The cateloge had the picture and all the specs for the system he was offering.

He said that he originally had an order for 5 of them, but the wherehouse gave him 6 so he had this extra one and he was just such a nice guy that he wanted to cut someone else a deal. It was a Dogg Digital 5.1 Pro-Series III Home Theater System. The cateloge said the retail price was $1,999. He was offering it to me for $500. I talked to him about it and negotiated him to $350. I checked all the equipment in the box and everything checked out ok. None of the parts had been stripped and all the packaging was brand new. So I decided to go for it, seeing as I was getting "such a great deal!"

I didn't have the money on me so they said they would follow me to the ATM. Once we got there, I got their email address, phone number, license plate number, and he said he was going to write a reciept for me, but he never did. I got everything I thought I would need to get in contact with them if anything went wrong.

So I got back to my apartment and went online to do a little more research on the system and Dogg Digital Audio. The system checked out on the website, but that's when I found these consumer complaintss and everything that happened to me was exactly what happened to everybody else. This guy Barry was a good salesman and had a lot of knowledge about the product. He had the cateloge of the business and all the little details to convince me. He walked the walk and talked the talk, and saying that he installs big time home theater systems, he had the car that seemed to prove that.

Now I'm afraid to even try out the system and I'm really wishing I had my $350 bucks. If you are reading this report as well as the others on this site, learn from us!!! Only buy from stores who can give you receipts and have good and definite return policies. This is a mistake I will never make again.
