Electronics Store Scammers

My fiance and i took an Xbox 360 to an Electronics store to have them ship it out to Microsoft for repair. We were told it would take two weeks to be fixed. We waited a total of 4 and a half months to finally receive our Xbox.
In between those 4 months that we waited we were given the run around. We were told that our Xbox would be in on a specific day, then on a specific week and so forth and so on. We went through a long stressful hassle waiting for our Xbox to finally come in.
We then come to find out that our Xbox was not able to be fixed because it was "out of warranty." We were disrepected throughout the entire process. We were hung up on, screamed at and brushed off like nothing. We tried calling many times to follow up on our repair and we never received a call back. We asked for the tracking number along with the serial number of the Xbox console to call ourselves to see what was taking so long. They would not provide us with any information, and still have not provided us with the information.
We finally received our Xbox console and called Microsoft to find out whether or not they did send it out for repair. We were told that we were in fact still under warranty and they had no records of it ever being shipped out to them. We then made arrangements to send out the console to be repaired ourselves.
We wasted a total of $75 dollars, and 4 and a half months for absolutely nothing. We still don't know what exactly they did in those 4 and a half months with our console. An employee in the store told us that they don't even ship out game systems to be repaired at all. They fix the consoles themselves in the store. My question is "what exactly did i pay for?"
We've received no apologies whatsoever and still have no idea what they attempted to do to repair our console.
This store is bad business! They're scammers! They're completely unprofessional and they have no respect whatsoever for they're customers!
