This guy tried to rip me off, but I got him green explore

I had no idea this scam was happening until today. I was stopping at lowes to pick up a couple of things, when a ford explorer pulled up behind me, and a man got out asking me if i was interested in some high quality speakers. I walked over an this guy pulled out these audiophile speakers. I had never heard of audiophile before, but I haven't heard of alot of brands out there before either. He did the whole scam about how his boss made a mistake in ordering to many speakers, had the fake invoice an the fake magazine ad to show me.

I will be honest an say i had no idea it was a scam at this time. He started talking about price, he said there was no way he thought he could get full retail value ($1500) and i said there was no way i could come close to that price range. Then he said, how much can i afford? I said no more than $150, he thought about it and tried to talk me higher, but i said with x-mas so close, there was no way. He said ok, so i told him i needed to go to the bank to get the money, he said ok, and followed me.

What he didn't know was that while i was driving, i called a friend of mine an told him to go online an find out something about the speakers i was about to buy. He found this web site and told me to stay away. When i got to the bank, i told the guy that i would be right back. He waited for me in his car as i went into the bank an called 911. The cops came out and questioned the guy about his buisness lic. Turns out he had a suspended lic. An no proof of ins. Or registration. The cops made him park his truck wrote him a ticket an walk to a phone until he could find a ride.

I was lucky i had a friend to look the speakers for me. I know what i did wasn't much, but it was something to give that guy to think about.
