Imagine you are in need of money and you decide to sell something to get the money. Well I was in the process of selling my Laserdisc movies and a player for $150. Enough to start saving to buy a car for my fall term in college.

I place an add on www.craigslist.com and a few days later, a Mr. Matt Pineau contacts me offering me $210 for the whole lot, but he would send me $1500, I would keep the $210 for me and forward the rest to a "shipper", someone to come and pick it up as my stuff was too heavy for me to carry to the post office and ship.

Everything goes smoothly, somewhat. Some money got misdirected. Suddenly one day I get a phone call from the bank I cashed the check, saying that the check was a bad check and I suddenly owed them $1500. I have been unable to contact Mr. Matt Pineau about this. Its like he ran off with my stuff.
