I ordered a Tracfone on-line on a Saturday, called in on Monday and they had no record of order number, after a half hour of waiting for this answer. Waited a week and no confirmation thru email, so ordered another phone, thinking the first one never was received. Both orders were then confirmed on the same day, over a week later.By that time, I had bought one on EBAY for less money and it was in the mail. I called TracFone to cancel both orders BEFORE they were shipped out. I gave the guy the two order numbers and told him to cancel them. He said, 'can i put you on hold'... I said, NO. Just cancel the order.
He DID NOT cancel it and they were shipped by Fed EX... I did not accept them and am waiting for a refund on my charge card. This has been a nightmare. They do not understand english and therefore you can't get a direct answer and they go off the line for 3 minutes for hours. What a terrible way to do business.
I then checked on-line for the activation problems and found many. So I am not activating this phone but using it only for 911 calls while on the road.
I had done some research and found that TracFone was popular and had a good connection, but alas, if I can't get the customer service, on-line or the telephone, it's totally worthless!!!
