Electronics and household app.
On November 24, I purchased two MP4 players from Hart Marketing. As it was a road show, I asked if there would be any problem in returning them if I was unhappy with them, and was assured I would be able to do this with no problem, and could find out the appropriate way to do so on their website, www.pocketpod.net.
As I purchased these as Christmas presents, we did not open them until just before Christmas when I charged them and loaded some songs. After they received them for Christmas, my children ran the batteries down. When I tried to subsequently charge them, neither would take a charge. Moreover, one of the earphones broke.
I decided on December 27 to return them, and went through the appropriate procedures on their website. They suggested that I did not know how to charge the units, and offered to send new chargers. I told them that I wanted a refund, that was what I had been promised, and that was what I expected. They then did not respond to any further communication from me.
I have tried to call both their technical support line, as well as the number on the billing, and cannot get responses to either. They will not provide an address for me to return the units, both of which are still in their original packaging. For what its worth, their website details a different return policy from what I was told when I bought the units, and promises to refund only doa units. Since my units worked for about two days, I cannot claim that they were doa. I have since submitted an additional request for a refund, but I do not expect them to respond to that, either.
