HUGE Rip off—gray market products, criminal Restocking fee

My husband and I searched all over the internet when looking for a new camcorder. The Digital Nerds came up on several popular price driven search engines so we believed it was legit. We couldn't have been more wrong. We too got the confirmation email and I was talked into purchasing a battery which was supposed to be $70 though I later found I was billed $119 for the product.

Upon receiving the product, I found that all of the info related to the camera including the warranty was out of Canada—warranties that are not honored by the company here in the US. Not to mention the fact that the box says the product was shipped form J and J electronics, but the invoice says The Camera Wiz and has NO line items, only an arbitrary total.

When I called and told them that I wanted to return the camera, Jeffery told me that I would have to pay a 20% re-stocking fee and that it had to be enclosed in the box as either a personal check or a money order or they would not accept the return. This experience just keeps getting worse. I am hoping that these people will get enough complaint to be investigated and shut down. I've filed a dispute with my credit card company so we'll see how that goes.
