On May 14 I purchased a Refurbished Pantech C300 Cell Phone from Blue Bay Electronics' using Google Checkout. It was Order number 10016972, and cost $74.95 for the phone and another $29.94 for 2 Day shipping (since my Moto Razr had died and I needed a phone quick for business).

I received the phone and immediately found that the screen was very badly scratched over much of its surface. Additionally, the phone had scarring and damage all over the case (typical of a well-used phone). Finally, the 9' key did not work consistently.

I immediately contacted BlueBay and informed them that what I got was not Refurbished' but instead, just plain Used'. I asked for another phone, and for it to be sent to me first, at which time I would return the bad one this way, I would not be without a phone (especially since I paid $30 in order to get it quickly). They asked for photos, which I sent. They acknowledged that it should not look that way, but then refused to send a phone until I sent them mine first.

I am tired of businesses that make their problems my problems. Why should I need to go without a phone and pay shipping charges when all I wanted was what they promised in their ad?!?

I had hoped Google would help, but if you read their terms of service. They do not warrant the vendors they represent, just broker the deal for profit. They do have some mediation that I will try, but do not expect much.
