Stole cell phones / posing as a recycling plant

Electronics and household app.

Please beware: This man called my cellular telephone store requesting to buy cell phones from all of my locations in large amounts. He did not want service, he wanted just the preowned phones without service. He was very nice and polite. He had a web site explaining things and plenty of documentation about his "line of work".

He explained that if our old cell phones were sent to him, he would pay us within 30 days for all valuable phones. He claimed that he made his money by "restoring the old phones to a new looking state". He didn't say how much money for each phone, but he said that he will pay a fair amount for each.

I sent 228 phones, and believed that I would get at least a few dollars for each phone. I thought maybe around $500 or more for all 228. Some of the phones were newer models (2 razor phones). Win-win right? Nope.

A month goes by, so I give him a call looking for a check. He says he will be getting a check out soon. I call a few days later and I am told that the phones were old models and there is nothing that can be paid for them. So I asked for the phones back right away! He told me that they had already been recycled and are gone now.

My calls are being dodged by him and I lost my phones. I know the phones were valuable. There were RAZOR phones for crying out loud!

Please look out if you work at a cellular telephone store
