Refused to ship camera at price stated without purchasing other items cancelled my order ripoff

I ordered a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ250 Camera late on Friday. I received a confirmation receipt within minutes confirming the order for the camera only. The e-mail said I had to call to confirm the order within 24 hours. Since they stated they were closed Saturday, I planned to call to confirm on Sunday when they were open.

They called me late Saturday night and pressured me to buy an overpriced battery for the camera. When I refused, they asked to speak to my wife (for whom I was buying the camera). When I told them that wouldn't do any good since she was a lawyer, the person told me he was cancelling the order. (Funniest thing.) I immediately called my credit card company to prevent any charges from this outfit. They then e-mailed me a cancellation notice stating I had cancelled the order. Wrong — they did, but that's a good thing.

Can't understand these people. They lost this sale and all future sales from me since they obviously do not honor their advertised prices and attempt to sell other items that, I for one, did not want or need.

I was a sucker this time. The old adage "If it looks too good to be true, it probably is" is what I normally go by and believe me, I'll return to paying a bit more and deal with reputable businesses.
