Believe this company gave my credit card information someone who used it illegaly

I attempted to purchase a Canon XTi Camera on Nov. 6 2006 from Bestpricecameras.com. After the order was placed I received an email from them with an order number and instructions to contact them by phone to help expedite the order. I waited a week then called and provided the order number and was transfered to someone who ask if I wanted to purchase the short life $165.00 battery or the longer life $195.00 battery for the camera. I told the him neither. He then told me the Camera would be of no use to me without a battery. I told him I already had batteries for the Camera. He said OK you got it. I ask how long and was told 2 weeks. I ask, 2 weeks more before it would ship and he said yes. I said OK. The online offer was to include free shipping and I called back the next day to attempt to pay for faster shipping. This time I was told the Camera was on back order and he didn't know when they would be available. I told him to fill the order when they came in.
I decided that this purchase was questionable and contacted my credit card company and explained the situation and was told I didn't need to do anything because I was protected by them if there was a problem with the order.
On Nov. 22 2006 my credit card information was attempted to be used for a fraudulant purchase of $552.00 in the very area that this Company resides. At the same time this Company attempted to charge my credit card for the Camera purchase. The credit card company blocked both of the charges and contacted me.
I am waiting for new credit cards to arrive. Although I can't prove anything. I find it very suspicious of how my credit card information found its way to the person who attempted to use it fraudulantly in that exact area that Best Price Cameras is addressed. I have heard nothing from them about this order having problems with the credit card company.
